N.E. of Guadalupe and about 2 km. N. of Cerro Punta; also N. of the Rio Chiriqui Viejo at an elev. of 2100 m. Arching shrubs with magenta corollas. Antepetalous anthers reddish-pink; ante- sepalous ones yellow as the appendages. Visited by numerous insects of which BOMBUS was accomplishing good self and cross-pollinations.
