Volcan Poas at an elev. of 1900 m.
Disturbed and overgrown roadside banks.
Erect shrubs 1-1.5 m. tall. Petals creamy
white occasionally with a very faint tinge
of pink. Antepetalous anthers deep pink
to reddish with yellow appendages. Ante-
sepalous anthers and appendages yellow.
Numerous insects noted visited flowers-
BOMBUS. MELIPdNA. LASIOGLOSSUM, TRIGONA.
