Dear Dr.Small:
I have been In the field collecting
all of the time since the first of Jan.and
some of my eorrespondance has been mislayed,
hence the delay in answering your letters to
me.
I thank you very much for your naming
for me the two plants sent from Homestead.The
Alysicarpus rugosus was found in only one place
on a vacant lot in the town of Homestadd and
is not well established.One hundred or more
plants were seen but they wewe all together.The
plants were growing well and fruiting.The flowers
opened for a short time about ten oclock in the

morning and closed in mid^afternpon#They are pink.
I have not collected A.vaginalis here*
Chamaecrista rotundlfolia is pernnial here.
Aeschynomene amerlcana was found only in
waste ground in fairly damp sandy soil^on an old
fair ground at Orlando,along the border oil a city
lake at Lakeland and on the edge of a road ditch
