The New York Botanical Garden Cultivated Plants of U.S.A. Tiliaceae 7/7/a tomentosa Moench det. M. Nee, 2010 NEW YORK state, Bronx Co., Bronx, along Mosholu Parkway East, between Marion Ave. and Decatur Ave. 40°52’12”N, 73°52’54”W. alt. 22 m. Small ornamental street tree 4 m. tall, 8 cm. in diameter, only a couple of years here but very large ones of this species along this street also. Leaves whitened beneath. Just began to bloom yesterday; petals pale yellow; sepals lighter. Flowers very fragrant, more so than no. 56414 Tilia americana. Coll.: M. Nee 56413 25 June 2009
