Nee, 2014 WISCONSIN, Taylor Co., Chequamegon National Forest, along Forest Road 568, 1.9 km (by road) NW of junction with Mondeaux Avenue/Forest Road 102. 45°18’29”N, 90°30’11”W. alt. 446 m. T 33 N; R 1 W; sect. 27. Marshy, with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, Salix spp., Spiraea alba, Larix laricina, Picea mariana, with Sphagnum but no Ericaceae. Clumps of several stems, 5 m. tall, 8.5 cm. in diameter (this seems to be the maximum diameter here). Voucher for wood specimen, MADw.
