Marshy, with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, Salix spp., Spiraea
alba, Larix laricina, Picea mariana, with Sphagnum but no
Ericaceae.
Clumps of several stems, 5 m. tall, 8.5 cm. in diameter (this
seems to be the maximum diameter here). Voucher for
wood specimen, MADw. Staminate next year’s catkins
green; pistillate “cones” of this year green.
