On a steep N slope, near moist seeps. shaded by Cupressus, Abies, Tilia, Acer, Fraxinus, with Toxicodendron, Desmodium retinens, Castilleja tenuiflora.

Hypanthium and especially petals white; anthers red-orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
