Mesic forest with mix of floodplain forest and upland elements, with Fraxinus spp., Ulmus sp., Sanicula canadensis, Circaea, Trillium flexipes, Osmorhiza claytonii, Laportea, Impatiens, Acer saccharum, Tilia. Flowers pale yellow, pendulous, very sweetly fragrant, mostly past; rather common tree about 10 meters tall. Steven R. Hill 35966 17 June 2004
