Habitat
In stony margin of swale. Next to Pinus ponderosa woods. Associated with: Artemisia tridentata, Juniperus scopularum, Penstemon, Collinsia, Senecio, Trifolium, Lithophragma glabra, and L. parviflora. Locally common.

Description
Only last flowers of raceme remaining, with many of the lower flowers abscissed. Seed set poor. Petals pink, laciniate-palmate. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
