Habitat
In very rocky spring run-off course. In juniper-sagebrush desert. Many associates including: Mimulus, Erigeron, Aster, Dodecatheon, and Trifolium macrocephalum. Locally common.

Description
Only last flowers in raceme still open, the remaining flowers of the raceme usually producing abundant seed. Plants were rapidly dying down and some racemes had withered before blooming. Petals laciniate-palmate, pink in color. Plants up to 2.5 dm. tall. Abundant bulbil (rosette and subterranean) production. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
