Habitat
Steep roadside, dry slopes with Calamagrostis, Lophosoria, Baccharis genistioides, and Gaultheria tomentosa. Locally infrequent.

Description
Terrestrial shrub to 1.5 m. Calyx green suffused with red. Corolla white, suffused with pink or red. Berry turning blue-black.
