Habitat
Steep slopes of Río Alambi valley; cloud forest. Common but little in flower.

Description
Terrestrial shrub branches to 1.5 m long. Leaves bullate. Pedicels & calyx bright green suffused with orange. Corolla orange. Filaments connate, white; anthers golden-yellow.

Flowers robbed by same hummingbird that legitamately visited a Psammisia sodiroi growing nearby.
