Peru. Huánuco. Huánuco Prov. Pachitea, reagion of Pucallpa, western part of the "Sira mountains" and adjacent lowland; c. 26 km to c. 28 km ESE from Puerto Inca, from the beginning of the elfin forest at 1700 msm along the crest to the first peak of the main range at 2250 msm.

Habitat
Low elfin forest with many epiphytic lichens, mosses and vascular plants. Ground covered by a thick layer of roots, rotten leaves and stems; partly rocky.

Shrub of 0,4 m; flowers red; this plant at 2240 msm.
