  • Georeferencing Method

Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "Fazenda Santa Teresinha;" georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Ilha do Careiro in Careiro da Várzea, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the island Ilha do Careiro, in Rio Amazonas. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the land of the island, a little south of the true geographic center of the island because of the large lake located in the center of the island. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the island. Used linear extent as the uncertainty radius.
