United States of America. Utah. Summit Co. 1.2 miles north of Watsatch National Forest boundary marker on Highway 150.

Habitat
On north-facing slope. In open aspen-pine woods. Associated with Lithophragma parviflora, L. glabra (these two species not abundant in this meadow, but more common in drier slopes of forest adjacent to meadow), Nemophila, Collinsia, Lathyrus, and Fritillaria. Common. In very loose humus of meadow.

Description
Flowering well-advanced; however, most material remaining in the vegetative rosette stage. Seedling development good. Petals laciniate-palmate, pink. Most plants with 2-4 inch horizontal rhizome that is attached to a large bulbil when plant is disturbed. Along the rhizome are typically 2 nodes with a large bulbil on each. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
