SE of Peyto Lake; Tp 32, R18, in the
central portion.
Subalpine spruce zone at around 7250
ft. elev. Open 40% N-facing rocky slope
on and below ledge.
With dominants: Phyllodoce glanduli-
fera, dwarf Salix, Dryas octopetala,
Carex spp., 30% of vegetation cover is
mosses and lichens; also Poa arctica, P.
epilis, Picea, Cassiope, Saxifraga, |
Festuca ovina, Vaccinium, Lycopodiun.
Plants rhizomatous; corolla dull
salmon-pink.
