Lower montane humid forest transition to cloud forest. One tree seen.

Description
Tree 8 m tall with more or less quadrate fluted trunk. Petals reflexed, transluscent white with a pinkish central band of color. Filaments and style white, anthers yellow. Filaments and anthers turning red with age and petals assuming a more or less erect posture.
