Edge of and in Andean Forest.
Tree to 15 m tall. Flowers 5-merous. Petals white, spreading,
persisting after androecium falls away. Anthers yellow turning red
with age. Style and peltate stigma white, declínate. Mature berries
drab marrón. Common throughout the forest.
