Andean cloud forest.
Tree 12 m tall. Inflorescence erect to somewhat spreading but not
pendant. Flowers 6-merous. Petals held erect in a connivent tube-
like conformation, white with flush of red distally at apex.
Filaments, style, and stigma (straight) white. Fruits (at maturity)
yellowish, edible with sweet flavor like a small guava.
