Bosque Andino.
Tree to 7-8 m tall. Leaves dark green abaxially with a brown
indûment abaxially like uppermost intemodes and inflorescence
rachis. Flowers 5-merous, unpleasantly fragrant (like stinking toes).
Petals widely spreading, white. Filaments and anthers white and
forming a spreading ring around the straight white style. Common.
