Secondary Bosque Pluvial Tropical.
Scandent shrub up to 2.5 m. Flowers 4-5-merous. Petals reflexed at
anthesis, magenta, filaments and anthers yellow, pointing inward
and forming a ring around the style. Style white, stigma peltate and
circular in outline. Immature fruits green with prominent lenticels.
Mature berries smooth purple-blue. Uncommon.
