Therefore, georeferenced to the approximate geographic midpoint between the town of Conceição da Barra and the city of Sao Mateus, Espírito Santo. Using Google Maps - Text Search and Satellite View, located the two named places mentioned. Beginning at the approximate geographic center of the city of Sao Mateus (-18.719722, -39.861157), used Google Maps - Measure Distance tool to measure a straight line to the approximate geographic center of the town of Conceição da Barra (-18.584094, -39.733653), then divided that distance by 2 to estimate the location of the geographic midpoint. Using Google Maps - What's Here tool, found coordinates (final) for the approximate midpoint. This distance, which is equivalent with the distance from each of the named place centers to the midpoint, was also used as the linear extent.
