On bank of intermittent stream flowing west into the
Savannah River; mesic, hardwood cove. Site #8
(Lat. 34°01#47tt; Long. 82°35f15If), about 1/4 mile
north of County Road 269 and the Russell Dam con-
struction site. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment of the
Savannah River scheduled for the mid-1980's).
