PLANTS OF THE MIDLANDS 2 *1 SOUTH CAROLINA, U.S.A. RHODODENDRON CANESCENS (Michaux) Sweet Ericaceae RICHLAND COUNTY: Erect shrub 3 m tall, twigs densely canescent with a few coarse trichomes. Leaves deciduous. Corolla is pink with a cream color throughout; the petals also have a purple color to them. At the beginning of the Eagle trail at the Harbison State Forest.
