    In woods with Liriodendron tulipfera, Acer platanoides, Phellodendron amurense, edge of upper Twin Lake near Pfizer Lab building. A commonly escaping plant in the woods in the Garden and becoming a troublesome invasive.

  • Description

    Shrub 2.5m tall, with several stems in a clump, to 5cm in diameter; branches arching. Leaves held slightly below plane, the inflorescences erect above. Corolla with very faint pink tinge in the bud and anthesis, fading a pale yellow; some plants in vicinity with more pink in the corollas; filaments and style white; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
