Jonesboro. Elevation 60-70 feet. Wet sphagnum moss
and peat; acidic.
Raised heath bog, among sphagnum moss, Vaccinium
oxycocus, Empetrum, Kalmia polifolia,
Rhododendron canadense, Ledum. Common low shrub
0.5 meter tall; flowers white, new leaf pubescence
white, older rusty color; pleasant resinous fragrance.
