Pennsylvania Route 61. Acidic clay with humus over
shale and coal, south facing slope among pines (Pinus
cf. resinosa), Vaccinium sp., and Danthonia.
Dry-mesic upland forest, secondary growth, Quercus,
Pinus, Prunus, Acer dominate. In partial shade.
Common shrub 0.5-1 meter tall, firuit green, immature,
pendulous; foliage with sweet rose aroma when dried.
