    Erect herbs. Flowers apparently odorless (7:30 AM, sunny); corollas readily falling, pure yellow or white, otherwise identical; top 2 lobes with purple tinge on outside; filaments and hairs on filaments purple; anthers yellow-orange; style purple; stigma yellow-green. This is the only year this species was seen at the New York Botanical Garden in 15 years of observation, but was also seen nearby at the Metro North train station where recent landscaping has been done.
