Guyana. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. On top of 1st escarpment (of four) of Kamakusa Mt. within 5mi. of Full Moon (6th Camp). Tepui forest (to 40m tall) on south-facing slope.

thin layer of brown humus over white sandstone; diverse forest. 3-tiered wwith Myristicaceae, Lauracaceae, Swartzia, Annoncaceae, Inga, Dichapetalaceae. subcanopy rich is melastomes and palms.

Description
Epiphytic climbing shrub., bracts bright pinkish-red, corollas bright white; sepals and pedicels pink. Silica sample.
