    Mesquite-juniper woodland on level uplands and rough, dissected, N, S, and E-facing lower slopes of Capitol Peak above Prairie Dog Fork Red River, with Atriplex canescens, Celtis reticulata, Cylindropuntia leptocaulis, Dalea formosa, Ephedra torreyana, Ericameria nauseosa, Forestiera pubescens, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Juniperus pinchotii, Mimosa borealis, Opuntia phaecantha, Prosopis glandulosa, Rhus microphylla, Rhus serotina, Yucca glauca, and Ziziphus obtusifolius and grassland openings with frequent barren areas, soil silty to gypsiferous with frequent outcrops of red siltstone and gypsum of Permian Quartmaster Formation and some float on coarse grey sandstones of Triassic Trujillo Formation on lower slopes of mesa. on bark of Prosopis.

Mesquite-juniper woodland on level uplands and rough, dissected, N,
