Habitat
On rocky slope in scrub oak, pinyon pinem and manzanita. Locally common.

Description
Narrow, upright shrubs with ascending branches, to 2 m high; bark striate; petals white with pink mid-stripe on back; filaments pale whitish-yellow; anthers golden-yellow; ovary dark green; style pale green and stigma yellowish. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
