    low cliffs, outcrops, and boulders of non-calcareous sandstone of Upper Pennsylvanian Stranger Formation in brushy Quercus marilandica-Quercus stellata-Quercus velutina forest on gentle to moderate W,SW, and N-facing slopes above W-trending ravine leading to lake, with understory dominated by Quercus sapling, Rhus copallina, Rubus spp., and Toxicodendron radicans, and Cephalanthus occidentalis and Cornus amomum locally common in ravine. scattered on sheet face of S-gacing cliffs and outcrops.

Low cliffs, outcrops, and boulders of non-calcareous sandstone of
Upper Pennsylvanian Stranger Formation in brushy Quercus
marilandica-Ouercus stellata-Quercus velutina forest on gentle to
moderate W, SW, and N-facing slopes above W-trending ravine
leading to lake, with understory dominated by Quercus saplings,
Rhus copallina, Rubus spp. and Toxicodendron radicans, and
Cephalanthus occidentalis and Comus amomum locally common in
ravine. Site evidently partially burned in recent years. Soil sandy.
Scattered on sheer face of S-facing cliffs and outcrops.
