  • Habitat

    Sparsely vegetated zone on gentle south sloping land, bordered above and below formation by shortgrass prairie. With Haplopappus engelmannii. Abundant but limited to this zone alone, more plants to east across road in Prowers County on same formation. Highly weathered and fractured limestone and clay loam.

  • Description

    Those to the east are inside a fence and have been grazed off almost entirely by cattle while to west of raod were outside fences and not grazed. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
