Peru. San Martín. Huallaga Prov. Dist. Bolivar. Cloud forest surrounding "Pampa Hermosa" around old Chacha and Inca settlement.

Description
3-4 m tall treelet. Stems with wooly, light brown indumentum. Nodes with large enrolled scutellar flap, 5-10 cm long, 10-20 mm wide. Leaves 5-13 cm long, 3-7 cm cm wide, plininerved, with 5 main and two faint marginal nerves. No auricles. Petioles 2-5 cm long. Inflorescence with 7-9 main branches, pendulous, 20-25 cm long. Flowers 4, rarely 5-merous, petals 5 mm long, pale pink, anthers bright yellow with red connective, 90-130 flowers per inflorescence.
