Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island
Morus alba L.
NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School, at the edge of the woods
directly west of the athletic fields. Single, small tree, approx. 4.57 m tall.
White hairs along veins on abaxial side of leaf blade. Growing in a
partially cleared, disturbed area at the edge of an Oak-Hickory Mesic
Woodland with Betula populifolia and Celastrus orbiculatus.
