area, 4 miles NW of Rockwood.
Temperate deciduous forest on bluff above Mis-
sissippi River valley, Quercus spp., Lirio-
dendron tulipifera, Asimina triloba, Diospyros
virginiana.
Shrub 1 m. tall. Crushed leaves strongly and
sharply spicy-aromatic. Fruit green.
