Terrestrial shrub with one main stem erect or pendent, to 3 m long; rhachis green lightly suffused with pink; floral bracts & bracteoles dark rose; pedicels & calyx rose, margin of calyx lobes black, glandular; corolla tube light yellowish-green, limb & lobes white, margin of lobes purple; fruit green turning purple.
