remnant forest patches and roadside slopes from
Cosanga to 5 km S of Cosanga. Elev. 1975~2225 m.
Terrestrial shrub to 2.5 m tall. Inflorescence bracts
pale green grading into dark red floral bracts. Calyx
tube pale green, limb translucent pink. Corolla tube
basically white with red band at throat, becoming
totally red with age. Immature berry green. Common.
