Flowers and young leaves. A tree about 7.5 m. tall and 2 dm
in diameter; petals covered with a loose waxy bloom, the outer
petals greenish yellow, the inner cream-yellow.
In open woods, among large granite boulders, just south
of Lexington, Ogelthorpe County, Georgia.
