common to frequent in white spruce forest, with
some balsam poplar, above shore of Mackenzie river
between miles 80 and 81* 5-inch thick moss-mat in
places; in other places just layer of litter and
humus, clay soil, shrubs: Shepherdia, Rosa,
Viburnum, Linneea. herbs: Fragaria, Mitella,
Habenaria, Oeocaulon, Pyrola, Calypso, Actaea,
Corallorhiza, Moneses, Lathyrus ochroleucus.
