above the road to Santa Cruz. Elevation: 1150 meters.
Approximate location: 18°08' S. 63°39' W.
Growing in muck in a
Typha-Cyperus dominated habitat.
Common. Flowers: white. Fruits
present. Habitat: a pond, with an
area of ca. 7 hectares. Dominated
by Potamogeton illinoensis and P.
gayii. Adjacent areas contain a
marsh dominated by Typha
domingensis and Cyperus papyrus.
