Deciduous forest dominated by oaks, maples, and tulip trees.

Description
Tree, 18 m x 30 cm. Petioles glabrous, pulvinate (swollen at base), pubescence between secondary veins and midrid absent. Fruits oblongoid, body dark brown, cap surface knobby. Abundant fruit on ground below tree, some seeds germinating. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
