Tunk Lake, west side of Tunk Stream, north side of Maine Route 182, about 6.5 miles west of Cherryfield. Elevation 210 feet. Peat, gravel, and sand along stream. Glacial deposits. Partial shade at margin of Thuja swamp with Picea, Betula, Taxus, Osmunda, Ilex.
