Rd. 544 (just W of Washington Twp.), W of DuBois. Forested slope behind rest area. Elev. ca. 1800 ft. Acid loam, humus (probably). Secondary mesic upland forest with Tsuga, Quercus rubra, Fagus, Hamamelis virginiana, Dennstaedtia, Prunus pensylvanica, Trientalis, Trillium undulatum. Fruits pale green; leaves dark green above, pale glaucous beneath; occasional understory shrub 1.6-2 m tall; young twigs olive-green. Steven R. Hill 32575 6 July 2000 02502556
