Young woods, somewhat disturbed, of Acer saccharinum,
A. negundo, Ulmus americana, Fraxinus pennsylvanica var.
subintegerrima, these native but with a recently planted
small Quercus bicolor which is otherwise not known from
this area.
Tree 12 m. tall, with 4 stems, each 20 cm. in diameter,
evidently sprouts from damage to a sapling. Lower trunks
developing tight diamond ridges. Fruit yellow-green.
