Common Name Spider Pea
Description	Herbaceous vine with dark purple flowers.
Location/Habitat Between Millers and Whitehouse settlements, along a road that leads to
the "North side" (Atlantic or eastern side of the island), the same road that
BEC is on, but on the east side of the Queen's Highway. Cultivated
Banana grove.

Uses/Comments This plant was not previously listed as occurring on Long Island (Correll &
Correll, 1982). Boiling the root and drinking was said by one to stop
children from wetting the bed. The fruits of this plant are boiled and
drunk for jaund
