Pasturelands and isolated forests along Hwy. 220. Alt. approx. 4200-4400 ft. Epiphytic shrub base to 3 inches diameter, 2-3 meters tall. Rachis and pedicels pale green. Calyx tube and lower limb reddish- pink turning green after anthesis. Upper limb and lobes green, lobes turning purple after anthesis. Lobe tips callose thickened. Corolla tube very much constricted at base, white there. Main tube reddish- pink. Corolla lobes lighter color. Fruits purple. Common. James L. Luteyn #3300 4 July 1972 02493728
