Disturbed periodically wet sandy clay-loam. Open savanna, hedgerow, and old field areas, roadside, dominated by Juniperus virginiana, Prunus serotina, Quercus imbricaria, Acer negundo, Sassafras albidum, Fraxinus americana.

Description
Rather common tree 10m tall, leaf undersides pale green, glaucous, dark green above, pubescence and size variable; fruits pale green, pendulous. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
