Marshy, with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, Salix spp., Spiraea alba, Larix laricina, Picea mariana, with Sphagnum but no Ericaceae.

Description
Slender tree 7 m tall, 7.5 cm in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen, MADw. Pistillate cones persisting for several years, the old ones easily dislodged. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
