Rare. Epiphyte, cespitóse. Leaves forming a semi-erect tank rosette,
about 1.2 m tall. Sheaths light green to pale yellow on both surfaces.'
Blades strongly coriaceous to succulent, dark green to light green and
covered with lepidote white indûment, densely covering the abaxial
side; spines dark castaneous. Inflorescence erect, turning pendulous
when old. Scape light green at the base and then dark green towards
the apex, induing the inflorescence rachis, glabrous to sparsely
floccose indûment. Scape bracts pale brown, densely covered with
floccose indumenta, soon caducous. Spike peduncles and
inflorescence rachis densely covered of floccose indûment. Floral
bracts pale brown, covered with brown floccose indûment. Sepals and
ovaries light brown. Fruits white, covered with brown lepidote
indûment.
