Hohenbergia abbreviata L.B. Sm. & Proctor
Frequent. Epiphyte or rupiculous, cespitóse. Leaves forming a semi-
spreading tank rosette. Sheaths pale brown on both surfaces. Blades
strongly coriaceous, dark green and covered with white lepidote
indument, especially on the abaxial side. Inflorescence erect, turning
pendulous when old. Infrutescence Inclined to pendulous, very old.
Scape and rachis green. Scape and primary bracts green. Floral bracts
white with stramineous apex. Sepals old and dry. Fruits white.
Jamaica, Trelawni Parish: Cockpit Country. Unpaved road between
Burnt Hills and Ramgoat Cave. About 6 km from Warsop.
